Tuesday July 15, 2008. HVG Monthly Public Program. 7:30 pm 3rd Tuesday of every month at Matthaei Botanical Gardens, 1800 N. Dixboro Road, Ann Arbor (map). Topic: Enjoying Quiet Waters: Five Little-known Lakes in the State Recreation Areas with Barry Lonik and David Cappaert. Non-members welcome; refreshments provided.
Hike July 21-25, 2008. Isle Royale Backpack Trip. This is still one of the most remote areas in Michigan. The natural beauty of this island is an absolute pleasure. Limit 10 people. Some group equipment can be provided. Contact Nancy Shiffler at 734-971-1157 for details, trip cost, and registration.

The Huron Valley Group is part of the Mackinac Chapter of the Sierra Club, which includes all of Michigan. The Huron Valley Group itself includes most of the Huron River watershed, including Washtenaw, Lenawee, and Monroe counties.
